The RVC Directors - who are ACSA survivors - meet with the Advisory Board to gain outside insight and fresh ideas, so that RVC can continue to grow and to build connections to ensure that RVC is sustainable long-term.

  • Connie C. Baker

    ADVISORY BOARD

    Connie Baker, MA, LPC is a licensed professional counselor, author, and trauma recovery specialist focused on religious abuse. Based in Portland, Oregon, she has counseled survivors for decades, offering validation and education on spiritual trauma.

    Author of Traumatized by Religious Abuse, she works to create a framework for understanding religious harm. A speaker, instructor, and clinical supervisor, Connie provides resources through online courses and seminars.

    Her survivor-centered approach empowers individuals to reclaim autonomy and healing. She is honored to bring her expertise to Restored Voices Collective’s advisory board.

  • David K. Pooler

    ADVISORY BOARD

    Dr. David Pooler is a professor and researcher at Baylor University’s Diana R. Garland School of Social Work, specializing in clergy-perpetrated sexual abuse and survivor experiences. His work examines trauma, institutional harm, and the role of faith communities in fostering healing.

    A dedicated advocate, he has influenced policies and best practices for abuse prevention and response. His research and survivor-centered approach help organizations navigate systemic change with integrity.

    As an advisor to Restored Voices Collective, Dr. Pooler provides expertise in trauma-informed care, survivor advocacy, and institutional accountability.

  • Boz Tchividjian

    ADVISORY BOARD

    Basyle (“Boz”) Tchividjian is a litigator and advocate for survivors of sexual abuse and institutional negligence. A former Assistant State Attorney in Florida, he founded the first Sex Crimes Division in the 7th Judicial Circuit.

    As the founder of GRACE (Godly Response to Abuse in the Christian Environment), Boz equips faith communities with tools for abuse prevention and response. A recognized expert and published author, he is dedicated to holding institutions accountable and ensuring justice for survivors.

    His extensive experience and commitment to safeguarding make him a trusted advisor to Restored Voices Collective.
